Paul Rauch
Paul Rauch is a producer of American soap operas, most known for his work on Another World, which he produced from 1972 to 1984. While still producing Another World, he also helped create an AW spinoff, Texas, which lasted from 1980 to 1982. Following his stint on Another World, he produced One Life to Live from 1984 to 1991, Santa Barbara from 1991 to 1993, and Guiding Light from 1996 to 2002. Most recently, he was consulting producer to a period-drama aired on Russian television, called Bednaya Nastya. He has become an outcasted figure among some soap fans. His plans for the shows he produced have often proven to be failures. They include expanding Another World to 90 minutes, which cost the show millions of viewers, and used sci-fi plots such as cloning and time-travel on One Life to Live and Guiding Light.
