Phobos

In Greek mythology, Phobos is one of the sons of Ares (Mars) and Aphrodite (Venus). "Phobos" is Greek for "fear," the root word of "phobia".

Phobos is the largest and innermost of Mars' two moonss.

The Phobos program consisted of two unmanned probes, Phobos 1 and Phobos 2, sent to Mars by the Soviet Union.
