The white and often shaggy hair ring around the head is common to both sexes. The range of the Pileated Gibbonsis eastern Thailand, western Cambodia and southwest Laos. Their habits are much like other gibbons: diurnal and arboreal, they live together in monogamous pairs, brachiate through the trees with their long arms, and predominantly eat fruits, leaves and small animals.
