Proastiakos currently serves the following stations:

From Larissa station

Larissa Station: Athens Central Railway Station, connection with Attiko Metro Line 2 (Aghios Antonios - Aghios Dimitrios)

• Heraklio

From Neratziotissa

Neratziotissa: close to the Athens Olympic Sports Complex (O.A.K.A.), connection with Metro Line 1 (ISAP) (Piraeus - Kifissia)

Kifisias: the station is located on each side of Kifisias Avenue, one of the largest avenues of Athens.

Plakentias

Plakentias: the station is located on Doukissis Plakentias Avenue, connection with Attiko Metro Line 3 (Monastiraki - Doukissis Plakentias - Airport)

• Koropi

The Suburban Railway tracks also host the Attiko Metro trains with final destination the airport.

History

The markings of the future rail first began in 1994. The bridges for the future rail station did not show up until 1997. The uncompleted line reached about 3 km west of the future station. The uncompleted line showed up in the northern line. In the late-1990s, Route 6 of the Attiki Odos began construction and left the future line in the middle. When Attiki Odos first opened in March 2001, the middle part was left for the future Proastiakos line. In 2002, Attiki Odos was reduced to one land to make room for the construction of the Proastiakos. In 2003, the stones began to put near Eleftherios Venizelos Airport. In 2004, the poles began to be installed. In the area of the eastern section of the Attiki Odos (number 6), the line up to near the Doukissis Plakentias Interchange began to be opened and later, it was opened to Attiko Metro trains, a few months later, stones reached near Elefsina. In May work began to put stones at the line near Elefsina. In June, the lines reached near Elefsina, in the mid-2000s, the poles only reached near Acharnes, the line reached the Peloponnese and west of Corinth. In September, the tracks reached Kakia Skala and is presently reached Corinth. The poles have reached the Corinth station.
