Pupusas

A corn tortilla stuffed with either one or more of the following: cheese, pork rind, chesee and loroco (a shrub flower). Here are the spanish terms: pupusa de queso, queso y loroco, revuelta (or mixed). Originating in El Salvador, Central America, it has become a popular (new) dish in Southern California, this is due to the many thousand Salvadorians now living in this area and americans willing to try something new.
