Robert Woodward

Robert Woodward (1917-1979) was a US chemist interested in organic synthesis who won the Nobel Prize in chemistry in 1965. A native of Boston, Massachusetts, he received his bachelor's degree from MIT in 1936, and his Ph.D from the same institution in 1937. Throughout his career, he also received over twenty honorary degrees, including honorary doctorates from the following universities:
