Shaanxi Kylins
Shaanxi Gaitianli Kylins (陕西盖天力麒麟) or Shaanxi Gaitianli or Shaanxi Kylins are a basketball team in the North Division of the Chinese Basketball Association, based in Shaanxi. They are also known as Shaanxi Dongsheng Kylins (陕西东盛) or Shaanxi Dongsheng Gaitianli (陕西东盛盖天力) or Shaanxi Dongsheng Gaitianli Kylins (陕西东盛盖天力麒麟). The team was founded in November 2000 by Xi'an Dongsheng Group (西安东盛(企业)集团), and in August 2001 they won the "B" league championship and were promoted to the CBA. A "kylin" is a type of mythical Chinese creature. In the 2004–2005 season, the Shaanxi Kylins finished in fifth place in the North Division, out of the playoffs.
