Sky News Australia

Sky News Australia

Sky News Australia is a 24-hour television news channel in Australia. It is owned - one third each - by Publishing and Broadcasting Limited, the Seven Network, and BSkyB. The channel is available in Australia on the Foxtel, Optus Vision, and Austar cable / satellite pay tv services, and is also carried on SKY Network Television's digital satellite service in New Zealand. It is available in the basic cable packages of the various operators in Australia.

The news service alternates between Australian news (on the hour), with other bulletins from BSkyB in the UK, or ABC and CBS in the US, on the half hour. In New Zealand, where it is branded as Sky News Australia New Zealand, TV3 provides a news bulletin at 7.30pm local time. SKY originally broadcast Sky News from the UK.

With the roll-out of Foxtel Digital, Sky News Australia launched the "News Active" interactive news service.
