SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs
SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs is a first-person shooter video game developed by Zipper Interactive and published by Sony Computer Entertainment as an exclusive title for the PlayStation 2. It was released on August 27, 2002. The player leads a four-man team of U.S. Navy SEALs through a dozen missions in Alaska, Thailand, Congo, and Turkmenistan. SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs was the first PS2 game to use the console's network adapter for online multiplayer. It was also the first to use the Playstation 2 headset. The sequel SOCOM II: U.S. Navy SEALs was released in 2003. SOCOM is the abbreviation for U.S. Special Operations Command.
