South African Open
The South African Open is one of the principal golf tournaments on the Sunshine Tour and since 1997 it has been co-sanctioned by the PGA European Tour. It is one of the "National Opens" which receives special treatment from the Official World Golf Rankings, with the winner being guaranteed a minimum of 16 points regardless of the strength of the field. It has been known by several sponsored names and is currently called the "South African Airways Open".
