Biography

Sufjan Stevens is a musician and songwriter from Michigan with a fondness for the banjo. His sparse, lyrically profound songs deal honestly with matters of faith, family and, in the case of "Greetings From Michigan", his observations from living in that state. His announced intentions are to put out albums about all 50 states. Accordingly, his follow up to "Seven Swans", entitled "Illinois", is set to be released on July 5, 2005.
