Susan Cooper
Susan Cooper (born 1935) is most notably the author of The Dark is Rising, a five-volume fantasy saga set in and around England and Wales. The books incorporate traditional British mythology (Arthurian and folkloric elements) with original material (e.g.the Old Ones). Susan Cooper writes for adolescents but her fantasies have a wide range of appeal among adult readers. She was married to the actor Hume Cronyn from July 1996 until Cronyn's death of prostate cancer in June 2003. Cooper now lives in the U.S Additional Books - The Boggart
