The Swiss Alps are the central portion of the Alps mountain range that lies within Switzerland.

Bernese Oberland -
with chief peaks and moutain passes from Lake Geneva to the Furka, the Reuss Valley and Lake Lucerne;

Lepontine Alps -
from the Simplon to the Splügen and south of the Furka and Oberalp Passes; from the St Gotthard Pass to the Splugen, is sometimes named the Adula Alps;

Tödi Range -
from the Oberalp Pass to the Klausen Pass;

Bernina Alps -
from the Maloja to the Reschen Scheideck and the Stelvio, south and east of the Val Bregaglia and of the Engadine and north of the Valtellina;

Albula Range -
from the Splügen Pass to the Flüela Pass, north and west of the Val Bregaglia and of the Engadine;

Silvretta and Rätikon Ranges -
from the Flüela Pass to the Reschen Scheideck and the Arlberg Pass;

Pennine Alps -
from the Little St Bernard to the Simplon Pass.
