Sylvanas Windrunner

The character was created by Blizzard Entertainment and is voiced by Piera Coppola.

She led a group of isolated High Elves in defending a few villages of Quel'Thalas from the invading Undead Scourge while attempting to send the call for reinforcements to the capital city of Silvermoon. Arthas, who had became a Death Knight, stopped the messengers and successfully defeated her small group of resistance. Using his dark magics obtained from the Lich King, Sylvanas was transformed into a Banshee Queen.

In the aftermath of the Burning Legion's defeat on Mt. Hyjal, Arthas, Kel'Thuzad, and Sylvanas were eliminating the last remnants of human resistance in the land of the former Human kingdom of Lordaeron. Sylvanas initlially remained one of the mindless Scourge, a slave to the Lich King's will, but regained her conscious self along with many of her undead comrades after Illidan Stormrage greatly weakened the Lich King at the end of the first campaign in Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne expansion. She then held a deep grudge against Arthas for turning her into her current state of 'monstrosity.'

She ambushed Arthas who was just preparing to come to the aid of his master, the Lich King, outside the ruined city of Dalaran, but the timely rescue of Kel'Thuzad allowed Arthas to escape and trek to Northrend.

After the unsuccessful assassination, Sylvanas turned her attention toward lordship over the Plaguelands. She captured a Dreadlord named Varimathras. In return for his life, he pledged his allegiance to Sylvanas and assisted her in eliminating the rest of the Dreadlords, including his older brother. Once all of the opposition including the Humans as well as the Undead had been removed, she established a faction known as the Forsaken and completed the underground tunnels under Lordaeron started by Arthas. Now this realm is called the Undercity.

Currently the Forsaken are engineering a new plague that should not only wipe out the Humans, but also the Undead in Northrend as well.
