Synaptic is a computer program with a user-friendly GUI developed for the apt package management system used in Linux and other operating systems. Synaptic supports RPM- and deb-based systems after recompilation.

Synaptic was created by Alfredo Kojima. Now it is maintained by the Conectiva Linux technical staff.
