Tabs (stage)Tabs in the theatre are the main curtains separating the stage from the auditorium in a proscenium theatre.Usually made from heavyweight material, their purpose is to muffle sound produced on the stage prior to the performance and during the interval so that the audience is not aware of the stage being setup for the production.
