Tashlikh |

TashlikhTashlikh (Hebrew, meaning "casting off") is a long standing practice on Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish new year, to go to a large, natural body of flowing water (such as a river) and throw bread into the water for fish and/or ducks to eat, symbolically casting off the sins of the previous year.Jokingly, some people have circulated "Sin Offering guides" as to what kind of bread should be thrown for each kind of sin.
