Teesta Setalvad
Teesta Setalvad is an Indian social worker. In November 2004, she was accused of pressurising the key witness in the Best Bakery Case Zaheera Sheikh to make certain statements that led to the unprecedented event of the case being transferred outside Gujarat. She denies the charges.

Later events however, cast doubts on her integrity as her key witnesses turned hostile one after another. Nationalists accuse her of being rabidly anti-Hindu. Her justification of Godhra massacre does indeed give credence to their allegation. On the otherhand she enjoys immense popularity among 'secular' sections due to the fact that she always took up the cause of minorities. In general Teesta Setalvad comes across as a partisan social worker who takes up the issues with the explicit intent of maligning Hindus.
