Ten Major Relationships
The Ten Major Relationships, written by Mao Zedong in April 1956, was an outline for how the People's Republic of China would go about a socialist construction of an economic, political, scientific and cultural Chinese state. It was to be influenced by the Soviet Union but to be Chinese in its characteristics. The Ten Major Relationships were: - the relationship between heavy industry and light industry
- the relationship between industry in the coastal regions and industry in the interior
- the relationship between economic construction and defense construction
- the relationship between the state, the units of production, and the producers
- the relationship between the central and the local authorities
- the relationship between the Han nationality and the minority nationalities
- the relationship between Party and non-Party
- the relationship between revolution and counter-revolution
- the relationship between right and wrong
- the relationship between China and other countries
