Tesco Vee
Tesco Vee(b. 1955, Lansing, MI) was and still is to some extent the frontman for the early Michigan hardcore punk, Meatmen. He was also a co-founder of Touch and Go Records. The son of the superintendent of Lansing schools, Vee formed the Meatmen in 1978 and documented their existenc with his own Touch and Go fanzine. The group orignally consisted of Vee and the Ramsey brothers, but later lineups included Brian Baker and Lyle Preslar of Minor Threat. Vee moved from Michigan to Washington, DC in 1983. Vee was known for his wild stage antics and petty criminal activity. In a strange (and somewhat disturbing) double life, Vee worked as a elementary school teacher during this period.
