The Crisis of Islam: Holy War and Unholy Terror is a popular book written by Bernard Lewis as a result of the September 11th terrorist attack. The nucleus of this book was an article published in The New Yorker, in November 2001.

It was published by Modern Library, in 2003 (ISBN 0679642811; Random House Publishing Group, 2004, ISBN 0812967852). Random House Audio released a compact disc of the unabridged text read by the author (2003, ISBN 0739302191).
