Todd Pearson

Born in Geraldton, Western Australia, Todd started swimming on the advice of a doctor treating his asthma. Todd was vice Captain of Hale School in 1994 where he spent time in Faulkner House And St George House. Todd is no stranger to the Olympics. After swimming the heat of the 4 x 100 at the Sydney 2000 Olympics, Todd was a spectator for the final, when the Australians set a world record beating the US team for the first time in Olympic history. Todd went on to swim in the final of the 4 x 200 with Ian Thorpe, Michael Klim, and Bill Kirby. The Aussies led from start to finish, setting another world record and achieving every boy's dream of winning gold for Australia. Todd was awarded the Order of Australia Medal for contribution to sport for this effort. Since Sydney in 2000, Todd has been busy in the pool winning gold once more at the Pan Pacs and the Commonwealth Games in 2002. He was also co-captain of the Australian swimming team in 2001. Despite swimming more than 50km a week, Todd has found time to compleate a bachelor of commerce with a major in accounting and has worked for a multinational accounting firm. He currently works as a Director for Mobil's Statewide Oil Distributors. Todd recently swam his way to the 2004 Olympics in Athens. He will be representing Australia in the 4x200 metre freestyle relay teams.
