Toxin (comics)
Carnage, the offspring of Venom, was about to give birth to a third symbiote. Carnage felt threatened by this new presence and hoped to destroy it. Venom on the otherhand wanted to raise and train it to be his new partner. After the birth, Carnage was to weak to kill the newborn, so he planted it into a cop named Patrick Mulligan. After a few days the symbiote surfaced during a battle with Carnage. Toxin was born. Toxin won the battle, but was unable to kill Carnage in cold blood. This act of mercy proved to Venom that Toxin would never become his ally. Venom and Carnage formed a temporary truce in order to eliminate this new threat. After a five way battle, Toxin, Spider-Man, and The Black Cat managed to defeat the deadly duo. Patrick then decided to leave his family to spare them the curse of toxin and use the uncontrolable monster inside him to do the right thing.
