Tuskegee National Forest
Tuskegee National Forest covers 11,000 acres (45 km²) and lies in the east central part of the state west of Auburn in Macon County, Alabama. The topography is level to moderately sloping, broad ridges with stream terraces and broad floodplains. Tuskegee National Forest has the dubious honor of being the smallest of its kind in America, but with no shortage of outdoor activities. This small wonder offers some of the best hiking, fishing, biking, and wildlife in the beautiful southeastern United States. Official Reference Local group's critical assessment of Forest Management
