Ulla Erna Frieda Juerss
Ulla Erna Frieda Juerss was a sadistic female guard at a Nazi concentration camp. Ulla Erna Frieda Juerss was born in Rabenhorst, Germany on August 2, 1923. It is unclear in her file when she became a camp guard (guesses range between 1942 and 1944). She entered Ravensbruck where she was trained as an Aufseherin and served in several capacities. She was later promoted to the rank of Blockfuhrerin, and had over 600 women under her control. She was a brutal block overseer in the camp. In April 1945, with the onset of the Ravensbruck death march, Ulla fled from the camp. She was not tracked down until 1966, and until then, lived quietly in East Germany. In 1966 a court brought charges against the, then forty-three year old woman for maltreating and murdering camp inmates. The East German court found her guilty and sentenced her life imprisonment. There is no word on her ultimate fate.
