Ulsteinvik
Ulsteinvik is the community centre of the municipality of Ulstein, Norway, and has approximately 4,500 inhabitants. Ulsteinvik is the home town for the former Ulsteinkonsernet (The Ulstein Concern), a worldwide supplier of maritime equipment. In May 1999 the concern was bought by Vickers Marine, and in August the latter was bought by Rolls Royce. Today, the head office of Rolls Royce Commercial Marine is located in Ulsteinvik. In addition to the head office, Ulsteinvik also hosts a RRCM plant for thrusters and gears, and a RRCM design office primarily for offshore wessels.
