Uncommon Knowledge

Uncommon Knowledge

Uncommon Knowledge is a weekly 30 minute current affairs show hosted by Peter Robinson and that airs on San Jose, California, PBS affiliate KTEH. It is distributed by American Public Television stations throughout the United States and internationally by NPR Worldwide.

The show is funded by the conservative John M. Olin Foundation and is produced by the Hoover Institution. However, its format and involvement with PBS helps insure a fair hearing from both sides of the issue.

Format

Typically the show will have two or three expert guests with opposing points of view on controversial issues and/or matters of international/public policy. Peter will moderate and put forward points, quotations and questions for thought provoking in-depth discussion. After several segments the show concludes with Peter asking the guests to predict what the future holds for the issue in question.
