UNIFONUNIFON is a phonetic alphabet developed to facilitate learning of English language either as a first or second language. All the recognizeable characters (ABDEFGHIKLMNOPRSTUVY) are in the form of sans-serif capitals. It was created by Chicago economist John Malone in 1959. The names of the letters are words chosen by Malone to better indicate the letter sounds.
