Unterseeboot 171Unterseeboot 171 (U-171) was one of the World War II German submarines stationed in the Gulf of Mexico. While returning to Germany it was attacked by an American plane, but survived and was sunk in the Bay of Biscay by a mine on the way into port.External links |
