Upcard

In card games, an upcard is one of two things:

In Stud Poker, an upcard is a card dealt face up to a player and left on the table for others to see. Similarly, in casino blackjack the dealer gives himself one card face up for the players to see.
In the Rummy family, an upcard is the top card of the discard pile.
