Vibeke Stene
Vibeke Stene (born August 17, 1978) is a vocalist in the Norwegian goth metal band Tristania. She has been with the band since it was formed in 1997. First she was meant to be only an additional singer, but later on she joined the band permanently after the band realised that she was what they needed. Stene's singing has become legendary to the goth metal fans, especially because her voice cannot be compared to any other gothic singers. Her amazing operatic soprano voice suits perfectly into Tristania's music and makes it so special. With Tristania she has recorded five three full length albums: Widow's Weeds (1997), Beyond the Veil (1998), World of Glass (2000) and Ashes, the new album which will be released in January 2005; one EP: Tristania (1997) and one single: Angina (1998). She also worked with Green Carnation on their album Journey to the End of the Night (1999).
