Voter database
A voter database is a computer database containing information on voters, for the purpose of assisting a political party in targeting its campaigns.
Usage Such software combines publicly available information, such as census data, with commercially available information. It is unclear how detailed this information is, though supposedly such software revealed that Volvo drivers rarely vote Republican. [1]
Users Voter database software was used by both the Republican Party and the Democratic Party in the 2004 presidential election, with software packages Voter Vault and DataMart, respectively. In 2005, the British Conservative Party used the Voter Vault software to assist them in the 2005 general election.
