Walter NewmanWalter Newman was born in New York City on 11 February 1916.He was active as a screenwriter from the early 1950s to the early 1990s. Three of his screenplays were nominated for Academy Awards, but he is probably best known for a work that never made it to the screen -- his unproduced original script "Harrow Alley." Walter Newman died in Sherman Oaks, California, a suburb of Los Angeles, on 14 October 1993.
