Weet-Bix

Weet-Bix

Weet-Bix is the name of high-fiber breakfast cereal biscuits manufactured in New Zealand by the Sanitarium Health Food Company. The name is a probably a deriverative of Wheat Biscuits. A closely related product, called Weetabix, is manufactured in England by the Weetabix cereal company of Kettering, Northamptonshire.

The biscuits have a crunchy texture. This is due to the fact that they are made from many flakes of wheat pressed on top of one another. They are usually served with either cold or warm milk; if served with warm milk, they have a tendency to become soggy.

Weetabix is the title sponsor of the Women's British Open.
