Wes Butters
Wes Butters is the former presenter of the BBC Radio 1 Official Chart Show, which is on BBC Radio 1 on Sundays from 4 - 7pm. Wes was born in Salford in May 1979, where he spent his youth, and studied for media qualification at Salford University in the late 1990s. Wes's career began at Wish FM (a local station serving Wigan & St. Helens) where he presented traffic news with AA Roadwatch. In December 1998, Wes moved to Century 105 based in Salford Quays where presented various evening and weekend shows. He also had a stint at Galaxy 105-106 in Newcastle from 2000 to 2002, where he presented various day-time shows and became Head of Music. In November 2004, it was revealed he would be not presenting the Chart Show from February, and will be replaced by JK & Joel.
