WEWB
WEWB is the callsign of the Capital District's WB Network affiliate based in Schenectady, New York. WEWB originated as an independent station in the early 1980s under the call letters WUSV. In 1987, WMHT Educational Telecommunications bought the station, gave it the new callsign of WMHX (later WMHQ), and began providing PBS programming. This arrangement lasted for twelve years. On September 6, 1999, the station became an affiliate of the WB and received a new callsign – WEWB – as well as the nickname WB45. In 2004, WEWB-DT signed on the air and currently broadcasts on channel 43.
