Wicker Park
:This article is about Wicker Park, the neighborhood. For the movie, see "Wicker Park (movie). Wicker Park is a Chicago neighborhood northwest of the Loop, near Bucktown. The neighborhood has its roots in the Chicago artists community, however gentrification has recently brought some of the yuppie population into the area. Nonetheless the neighborhood is still quite diverse and full of local character. The most abundant crowd however would have to be the hipster. The borders of the neighborhood are generally accepted to be Ashland to the east (at 1600 W.), North Ave. to the north (at 1600 N.), Division to the south (at 1200 N.), and Western to the west (at 2400 W.). These boundaries are not hard and fast, and may change slightly over time. Both the East Village and Ukrainian Village are to the south, Humboldt Park is to the west, and Bucktown is to the north.
