WinLinux
WinLinux simulates a Linux on a running Windows operating system (only Windows 95, 98 and Me are supported. Does not run on Windows 2000, NT, XP). The current version is WinLinux 2003 . It runs like a Windows application and does not require a separate boot or partition. The boot up is simulated on the Windows. It can run Linux applications such as KDE. Since Linux is not affected by Windows viruses it could be appealing for those who would like to run applications such as e-mail on the WinLinux or learn Linux for the first time as there is no need to fear accidentally destroying a partition.
