WJW

WJW is a television station in Cleveland, Ohio, broadcasting on VHF channel 8. Its transmitter is located in Parma, Ohio. The station had been a CBS affiliate for many years, until it became a Fox station in 1994, as part of the deal between its then-parent company New World Communications and News Corporation (which also saw VHF stations owned by New World in other parts of the country switching to Fox). Despite becoming a Fox station, WJW remained a popular choice for TV news in Cleveland. (The CBS affiliation in Cleveland went to WOIO channel 19.)

WJW identifies as "Fox 8" on the air.
