Wood Lane tube station
Wood Lane tube station is a disused station on the Central Line of the London Underground. It was built for the Franco-British Exhibition of 1908 on a loop from Shepherd's Bush with a covered walkway to the Exhibition Halls. The station was closed in 1947 when White City tube station was opened a few hundred metres north. The front of the station remained until September 2003 when it was demolished to make way for the new White City shopping centre. External links Wood Lane Station
