WWE WrestleMania XIX
WWE WrestleMania XIX was released in late 2003. The game was a major improvement over the dire WWE WrestleMania X8 from the previous year.
WMXIX brought back the No Mercy-style create-a-wrestler mode, along with the Revenge Engine which had been left out on WMX8.
The only criticisms of WMXIX was the alck of a real story mode, and more arenas. The story mode was set mainly backstage with the palyed fighting off various security guards and wrestlers before fighting WWE owner Vince McMahon at WrestleMania. Despite this, WMXIX was much more what Nintendo wrestling fans wanted after the dire performance of WMX8.
In late 2004 THQ released WWE Day of Reckoning.
