WWVA
WWVA is a radio station with studios in Wheeling, West Virginia, USA. WWVA began broadcasting in 1926. In its first year of operation it broadcast to listeners with crystal sets principally from the home of its founder, physics teacher and inventor John Stroebel. WWVA is the radio station that was the original source of Paul Harvey's broadcasts.
Format In 1997, WWVA abandoned the country western format it had introduced with a show called "Jamboree" in 1933, in favor of news/talk/information.
