Xinhua Daily
, the President of the People's Republic of China, Jiang Zemin wrote a calligraphy for the celebration of 50 Anniversary of Xin Hua Daily in Nanjing. Xin Hua Daily was the first public newspaper published in the People's Republic of China by the Communist Party of China. On November 1, 1938, it was established in Wuhan by revolutionists such as Zhou Enlai. On February 28, 1947 the publication of the Xin Hua Daily was forbidden by Kuomintang. Later, on April 23, 1949 Xin Hua Daily began publication with official support. The newspaper reports economic, social and political events in Jiangsu province. Currently, the total circulation is 470,000.
