Xylem Tube EP

Xylem Tube EP

The Xylem Tube EP is a early EP released by techno and IDM artist Richard D. James, commonly known by his pseudonym of Aphex Twin. It was his second release under this alias on R&S Records of Belgium, and like all of his releases on this label, he is billed as The Aphex Twin. The EP consists of four songs, all done in the acid house techno style which was popular at the time. It contains what many fans of his earlier material consider his best track, "Polynomial-C".

  • Polynomial-C (Side A, Track 1) (4:42)
  • Tamphex (Headphuq Mix) (Side A, Track 2) (6:28)
  • Phlange Phace (Side B, Track 1) (5:18)
  • Dodeccahedron (Side B, Track 2) (6:05)

The Xylem Tube EP was released on vinyl only in June of 1992, and was never released on CD. All the songs on this EP can be found on the compilation of early Aphex Twin material known as Classics, also put out by R&S Records after his fame on Warp Records.
