Yulia Nesterenko

Yulia Nesterenko (Belarusian: Юлія Несьцярэнка, Yuliya Nyes'tsyarenka; Russian: Юлия Нестеренко, Yuliya Nesterenko; born June 15, 1979) is an athlete from Belarus.

Nesterenko won the women's 100 meter event at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, in 10.93 seconds, becoming the first white and first non-U.S athlete to win the event since the American boycott of the games in 1980. She ran all four times (two qualification rounds, semifinal and final) under 11 seconds, and became one of the biggest sensations of the Olympic Games in Athens.
