ZDaemon
ZDaemon is a modified Doom source port based on ZDoom for both Windows and Linux. It has many additional features to the original Doom which notably include: slopes, bridges, crosshairs, Capture the Flag, jumping, and ACS scripting. This game has a side-program in which can be used to browse avaliable servers. It supports up to 16 players per game and features a spectator mode.
Capture the Flag
Around May 2004, Capture the Flag support was added to ZDaemon. This game mode is often the favorite choice of many players. The specifications for mapping in this game mode for ZDaemon goes as follows: - Red flag - Red keycard (thing 13)
- Blue flag - Blue keycard (thing 5)
- Red spawn point - Red particle fountain (thing 9027)
- Blue spawn point - Blue particle fountain (thing 9029)
It is up to the mapper to make sure that the CTF maps are fair.
