ZGMF-2000 GOUF Ignited
In the anime series Gundam Seed Destiny, the ZGMF-1000 ZAKU Warrior has only one variant, the ZGMF-1001 ZAKU Phantom, and is used only by high ranking commanders and aces, like the commander of the Joule Squadron, Yzak Joule, Rey Za Burrel, Haine Westenfluss and Shiho Hahnenfuss. But, as the Second Earth/ZAFT War erupts, the ZAKU series proves to be becoming less powerful than they used to, and so some variants start to come off the production lines. One of these new mobile suits is the ZGMF-2000 GOUF Ignited, the first true variant of the ZAKU and designed for close range ground combat. It has a cable like electrified heat rod, mounted in the right forearm, a pair of 4-barreled beam cannons mounted on the forearms, and a double-bladed anti-ship sword. It has a decorative spike on its forehead, and has a shield on one arm. One of the prototypes of the GOUF Ignited was given to ace pilot Haine Westenfluss, who had previously piloted an orange ZAKU Blaze Phantom. He is a member of the elite "FAITH" detachment and assigned to the Minerva at the time of the Battle of the Indian Ocean.
