Zimbabwe legislative election, 2000
Legislative elections were held in Zimbabwe on 24 June and 25 June 2000. The ruling Zimbabwe African National Union - Patriotic Front party (ZANU-PF) won 62 seats to the opposition Movement for Democratic Change (MDC)'s 57 seats. One independent was elected. In addition, there are 20 members appointed by the President and ten elected by the chiefs, who mostly support the government. Parties
